Jana's Class Description:
Jana's classes can be described as highly physical and technical. The warm up focuses on the body as a whole and in motion, with emphasis on building a strong technique as a base to support freedom in movement. Following the warm up, dance phrases can be fast and percussive or lyrical and fluid, but always technically challenging.

"My goal in teaching is to use a movement language and style that allows dancers to explore and own their individual voice and develop expressive power of pure emotion and physicality. My philosophy in class is that dancers will enjoy their experience, improve and grow artistically when given not only direction, but also the freedom to be individual. I encourage my students to take the movement material and make it work for themselves, be creative, take chances, dance to their fullest, and most of all enjoy!"

Marijke's Class Description:

A physically demanding Contemporary class that incorporates technique, floor work, and efficient release and strengthening. Combining European and classical Modern techniques with a Contemporary flavor, Marijke's movement language and style of teaching allows dancers to explore and own their individual voice and develop expressive power of pure emotion and physicality. Dancers are encouraged to make the movement material work for themselves, be creative, take chances, and dance to their fullest!

“The past 20 years have been a very resourceful and reflective process for my own dancer and choreographic investigations. In my process I encountered great teachers, artists and methods that made me more aware of the relationship between the dancer body and mind. It helped me find new ways to awaken and guide the awareness of the dancers more efficiently in relationship with my artistic choices."
