“Dance is a continuous growing art: it never stops, it's never finished, it's never in the past, it's always of TODAY... in the moment.”
The Next Stage Project
Who we are:
THE NEXT STAGE PROJECT (TNSP) was initiated as an innovative collaboration between emerging dancers and prominent choreographers who would otherwise not connect or have the opportunity to work together. TNSP Founder and Artistic Director Marijke Eliasberg started the project with hiring distinguished choreographers Kevin Wynn and Jana Hicks to create the first works for a selected passionate group of dancers. The works that were created had to be performed at least 6 times. By performing the same work numerous times, it created the growth and experience needed to reach a NEXT STAGE in the participating artists' development and careers. From the start the project was very well received and successful: The Next Stage Project was born!
Today TNSP is functioning as a global dance collective, working with selected, unique and talented dancers and artists for each project. Seeking national and international venues for the performance of these works to create an open exchange across the globe. By opening streams of creative Projects all around the globe TNSP is creating intertwined communities and connecting dancers and choreographers from all over the world and every background and every gender with the same passion: DANCE.
